LOST COIN CLASS NOTES: JUNE 5, 2007

How did you do this week with the concept of fear? In G's book Beelzabubs Tales, knowledge on planet is destroyed by earth. He is interested in Lamaism (Tibetan Buddhism). Samang- G translates this to brotherhood, or in Zen is sanga- community. When G went to Tibet he was surprised the tradition was still alive, it is a government and a tradition.

Heart chant: Buddha of Compassion- standing parameta practice, wisdom and looks on the 5 senses: seeing they are empty of self existence. No such thing as high without low, it does not have a self existance. Self is only in relationship to others.

Form is emptiness- empty of all conceps, all of the world is form and is built on concepts, take away form and emptiness is left, mind without concept. Emptiness is not from form is not empty, all truths are defined by emptiness, no form, no perception, no memor, no shape, no sound....No causal link or effect. We make up a story that one is related to another. Without attainment, without walls of the mind this is without fears, see 3 delusions we see 3 nivarnas and see unexcelled mantra ... this heals all suffering.

Essential point is NO FEAR, all fear is generated by concept. When the mind has no walls it has no fears. In Martial Arts- soft mind to no mind Means: In the beginning you are a student then you become a warrior. If you can get your mind to stop you will feel no fear. Work with no fear, no thought equals no fear. Dread can be a small thing you do not want to do. Daniel doesn't think we have anger without fear. Hurt: you may be afraid to feel the feeling. Cannot get rid of pain but can get rid of suffering. Fear is a kind of insanity.

We are living in one big mechanical response. You may think things won't work. Continue to see all feelings as fear. The dream we are dreaming is fear. Daniel woke up in a certain way this week, he had total control for a long time. Not much is more important than waking up. Can have fear of change. Sometimes we are afraid of being the best we can because we are afraid of the implications. If you don't fully put yourself into something you may not know exactly why but you need to just put yourself 100% into it.

Inner Considering- is a dominant form of fear. You are afraid of what others may think about you or punish you. Read Commentaries by Nichol on Inner Considering. "I'm OK Your OK" then Your OK but I'm Not, then I'm OK and your OK, then I'm not OK, your not OK, and that is OK.

Sometimes and event may kick off inner considering and it may last a long time. Observe yourself tightening, feeling, and thinking. Half is not wanting to feel for ourselves and half is not wanting to fel in the eyes of others.

You do not want to have your 'I's' that are fearful be. Keep self-observaion up.

Group: focus on observing self, and think discuss ways we inner consider and get feed back from the rest of the group. Really put yourself there. This is the difference between intellectual and experience.

CONTINUE SELF OBSERVATION AND PAY PARTICULAR RESPECT TO FEAR. WHEN IT COMES UP TRY TO IDENTIFY THAT PART OF YOURSELF, FEEL YOUR WAY INTO IT. TO DO IT ALL 3 CENTERS HAVE TO ALIGN TO DEFEAT YOUR FEAR. LOOK AT WHO YOU ARE THAT WAKES UP, SO YOU CAN SEE WHO IT IS THAT CAN MAKE CHOICES TO STAY AWAKE.
